Advice and answers from the Restaurantology Team

Saved filters in the Restaurantology Chrome extension can now be shared directly into Salesforce. This lets Business+ (SFDC) users generate persistent, CRM-visible reports from any advanced or compound search. Shared reports are not standard Salesforce reports—they’re displayed in a custom Lightning report viewer included in the Spring 2025 managed package.

How it works

From the Chrome extension:

  • Run any advanced or compound search.
  • Click Saved Filters, then select a filter to open its options.
  • Click Send Report to Salesforce.
  • Assign a report title and optional passcode.

Note: Shared reports can be marked private or public. Only public reports are visible to other users in Salesforce.

Once sent, the report (a list of Restaurantology Internal IDs) is stored inside Salesforce and becomes available in the Restaurantology App under Shared Reports.

Accessing shared reports in Salesforce

To view shared reports:

  1. In Salesforce, open the Restaurantology App.
  2. Click Shared Reports from the home view.
  3. Browse Available Shared Reports or Saved Reports.
  4. Click Import to open the custom Restaurantology Lightning report viewer.

You’ll see a full list of surfaced multi-unit profiles, including:

  • Concept Name
  • Object Type
  • Service Type
  • Target TAM
  • Urban Area
  • Website and Linked Account (if mapped)

Reports can be filtered further by territory, size, or service type. If a report is protected, users must enter the assigned passcode to view it.

Warning: Shared Reports are not native Salesforce reports. They’re surfaced through a custom Lightning report viewer installed with Restaurantology’s managed package (v2.7, Spring 2025). These reports do not appear in Report Builder or standard dashboards.
